Why? Generally russian women are very honest and well educated. I had very good experiences in meeting russian women. They are a lot more honest generally then italian and spanish. This site is very good and women are well verified. No scammers at all

Tommaso would disagree, but my feeling is that you should go to meet the woman in her country first. A chance to see her culture, friends, family. To me it is important to link the two families and cultures. I am not looking to simply pluck a Russian flower.
And yes, there are plenty of Russian dating scams. You will find scammers on this site, but they seem to respond quite quickly to them when identified.

Wrong. I Already know Russia and russian women and I do not like to live there, so woman have to know and uniformate to my coulture, not I to their. I have to respect their coulture. Never found a scammer. I have too mutch experience for not recognizing a scammer from a real good woman!
Janho, do you want to live in Russia? If yes, you have to go there, if not, better to invite and show your life to woman if woman wants to live with you in Pretoria. My opinion is opposite respect Steven. A lot better to play at home then in Russia and even better for the lady because she understand who you are only if she comes to you. You might be anyone in Russia for anyone! Steven likes there. I do not and I hate cold too.

If you are interested in women's opinion, listen to their views. Many women will appreciate the true your actions to come to the woman or at least to meet on neutral territory, which is even better for the first meeting.

This may be the efficient response, but I prefer the more thorough option. Go to see her at her home, to me, is a matter of respect to the woman and her family. I want them to know me and to know that she would be safe with me. Second visit she can come to me.
It's not wrong either way. It is what works for those involved.

I think you are correct that the woman better understands who you are when she comes to you. But that does not change the idea that I want her family and friends to meet me and to meet them. I want to see her in her normal environment too. Obviously we are looking for very different types of women, Tommaso and I.
Your logic is correct, and I agree that the woman should come to visit before emigrating, if possible, but that doesn't preclude a visit to her in any way.
And as for emigrating to the US, I would hope that you would keep your Italian culture. There is no such thing as 100% American and we integrate other cultures, not overwrite them. You meld the two, not eliminate the one. That is my opinion of course, but often how it works here in the US anyway.
