This mail box is widely used and very popular among people who live on the territory of the former USSR republics. But I must say that this mail box is not reliable enough to have contacts with people from the West. I can recommend your lady to open .gmail and she will be guranteed to get letters from you.

Hi Scott. Well you have your answer. But i'd just like to add it's possible to tell which city the email comes from by looking up the IP address attached to that email. But I suspect from you asking that question it might be a bit hard for you. There are many ways to check if someone is real. If you don't have it I suggest you use Skype to communicate as well. yes it is, i can also get one if wanted even if i am from norway, i just need to go to a russian based email provider and get it.

As many in ukraine speak russian its quite common, i know a girl from there that has also .ru at the end and she is ukraian as well.
