Thanks to all of you for the honest responses. Olga nice to hear from you again. This is why Ukrainian women are the best in the world! Let me provide some more anonymous details…
We have been emailing for about 5 or 6 weeks daily and I have talked to her on the phone once. If this is a scam, it's a damn good one. I've also asked for pictures of her holding a paper with my name on it. The girl is who she says she is. I've taken all precautions that I possibly can. I'm a pretty good judge of character and I work in fraud protection services myself. I've also worked with U.S. Immigration services successfully in the past with a fiance visa(just didn't work out between us after she was here). I am aware of the travel warnings to the Donesk region. She is not hiding the fact that it is a war zone. Yes, we could meet in Kiev but we believe here would be a much more romantic setting.
I know it is hard to get a tourist visa to come to the U.S. if you are not a family member or here on business or school. I care for this girl and what is happening there. She works 12 hours a day so it is hard to have more than once a day correspondence with her. I do believe her. I have her full name and address and dozens of pictures of her. It's the travel agent I'm not sure about. She tells me she is not famous because if she was, she would be closed. Seems reasonable given the circumstances. I have the travel agent's full name, number, email, and account numbers to either do a bank transfer or a moneygram. We have corresponded as well and she tells me the money is insured. My friend there tells me that this agent got a friend of hers a trip to England out of there successfully too. The U.S. is a different story I know. I’m wondering if the travel agent just doesn’t realize how hard it is to get a tourist visa here to the U.S. Anyway, it's a tough decision, I'm still not sure which way to go.
