Perhaps, you are right and my knowledge of Saudi Arabia family laws is very shallow. My knowledge based on the information from open sources here in the States, and my husband's (US citizen) experience, who had been living and working in Saudi Arabia as the USA official for several years.
Would you mind to enlighten us and tell us more about what rights married women have in Saudi Arabia regarding their own education, job, reproductive healthcare, property, custody for children born in marriage? Do women have the freedom to travel? What if a woman is a victim of abuse from her spouse? Can she seek help from government law enforcement? What kind of policies are in place in Saudi Arabia to protect women from domestic violence and abuse? Can a woman initiate divorce from her husband and still keep custody of her children and claim her share of property?

I am very curious to learn more about Saudi Arabia since it remains one of the most inaccessible and closed countries in the world, where foreigners hardly ever granted permission to visit. Thank you in advance!
