Michael, I have the exact same issue every time I go to Russia and want to surprise my friends and family there. I came to the conclusion that there is absolutely nothing unique in the USA that could not be found in Russia. Hence, I just ask my friends what they want me to bring. Some stuff is more reasonably priced in the States than in Russia.
