Svetlana, usually when someone disagrees with another, they define with what they disagree. I am unable to perceive which remark troubles you, so I must ask.

Are you disagreeing with my wanting to hear Boris’s music or my praise for his intellectual agility? Being a bit knowledgeable myself, I recognize Boris’s keen insight and also his quality as a gentleman. Beating Boris in an intellectual discussion is pretty tough, though. For one reason, Boris has the truth on his side and truth has an inherent value in itself.

I mentioned Tom seems to finally be studying the Bible (albeit possibly for wrong reasons). It appears to me he is, but perhaps you have other information. Do you disagree with that?

My remarks about my son and my personal belief that his birth, as well as those of other children, is a wonderful miracle and proof to me that there is something greater than ourselves that we cannot see? Did you disagree with this? Svetlana, that is my opinion, and there’s little way to disprove that.

If your disagreement was not with one of those remarks, perhaps my statement that Tommaso is much smarter than me, but not smarter than Boris! This is Tom’s post and I have made no other statements here. Please tell me precisely with what you disagree, dear Svetlana? I am interested. Also, did you indicate you believe I am dishonest or have bad intentions. Perhaps I have I misunderstood. Please tell me why? What do you think are my bad intentions?

Most of my recent remarks to Tom have pertained to monopolizing the forums to spread his atheist agenda, while pretending he is being badgered by believers. Svetlana, people would rather talk about other things. I do not begrudge Tom his beliefs, or lack of them. Tom’s statements regarding Christianity do not really bother me; many people do not believe and I don’t think they must be convinced. Please realize, I do not introduce God into these discussions; Tom does. If you notice this entire thread was posted in an attempt to bait me into an argument. I don’t even respond to all his remarks.

Tom was unaware prominent US atheist, Madelyn Murray O’Hair, had been indicted for fraud and theft of millions of dollars from her organization and that common belief holds that her associates were responsible for her death. Neither did Tom know that her son, Bill, director of her group, had converted to Christianity and remains an outspoken critic of his mother. Tom also repeatedly posted his belief that the famous theologian and missionary to Africa was an outspoken atheist. I cannot correct everything, but I simply tried to help a little. Where is the harm in that, Svetlana? Of course, Tom has made several unkind comments but I am not driven to repeatedly confront him; I am tolerant.

Svetlana, I do agree with you that Tom is quite brilliant and probably a gifted engineer. You may see some of his magnificent boats on YouTube; true masterpieces. (Perhaps he will repost the links.) All this back and forth is in good fun. Nothing Tom could say would cause me permanent anger; these are merely on-line discussions and opinions. As a friend, I simply suggest Tom pursues this too enthusiastically and should really abandon the topic. If Tom were my best friend here in the US, I would treat him no differently than my best friend here. I would look Larry directly in the eye and advise him, “Never take a knife to a gunfight”, and Larry would smile.  )))
