Very good that you and your friends are doing research to develop clean, alternative energy. My favorite is hydro-electric and we have thousands of dams producing hydro-electric power. Big tidal generation plant up in Bay of Fundy where the tides vary 50 feet or so. They produce a lot of power there!
Nuclear power is a great source of clean, cheap energy, but the initial costs are very expensive and not everyone can afford this. So far, solar power has not proven cost effective for us. The technology is not quite there. Our environmental laws are probably some of the strictest in the world; China not so much. We try to keep our end of the pool clean while they are up at the other end dirtying up the water for everyone else.
I agree with you that climate change is a fact. Yesterday was much colder than it was today. Tomorrow it may rain, but perhaps it will be sunny. When I say climate change, everyone knows global temperature changes are cyclic; certainly they know this in Spain, don't they!? However, there is no credible data to indicate catastrophic change that may endanger the planet. You claim the ice caps are melting; they said this years ago and that New York would now be under several feet of water. Has not happened; the streets of NYC are as filthy as they were 20 years ago, and no rise in sea level at the Coney Island Amusement Park. You can see for yourself there is more ice at the poles than ever before; all you have to do is use Google Earth. Do you have Google Earth in Spain?
The same day Barack Obama went to the UN to try to convince world governments of climate change hoax he has failed to convince the US, the National Academy of Science released an 18-year study proving zero temperature change; we all know about this hoax here. If Obama were correct on this, would be the first time he was correct on anything. Environmental laws have been used here to seize millions of acres of private land owned by private citizens, in order to "save the earth!" Americans are now fighting back against this silliness, trying to get our land back. Have you ever had incidents in Spain where the government seized thousands of acres land in order to protect 12 endangered worms? Maybe you do not have such important worms as ours!
You assume far too much, my young friend, regarding television. I have no time for TV; always studying and keeping informed about the latest scientific discoveries; simply part of my scientific background. I enjoy debating scientific theory, so it is always best to have the latest information. You should also try searching for the latest information. Start by doing a little study about the amount of ice at the poles; then you could work your way up to more difficult scenarios. I am always willing to help you, so please feel free to ask questions. You can glean a lot of wisdom by listening to older, wiser more experienced teachers. (Tesla was my favorite scientist!)

They do not always tell the truth...I don't know...maybe they always tell the truth in Spain; in my country you can tell when they are lying because their lips are moving! I enjoy watching doomsday movies, just like you; however, I do not believe what climate change Doomsday people claim; no evidence supports it. Remember, I am the guy saying that the end of the world could not possibly be as close as the climate hoax people claim it is. I don't think man has the power to challenge God in that area.
The earth has been getting warmer, then colder, then warmer, for millions of years, and there were no factories, cars or humans to influence these changes. During the 12th century, there was that nuclear winter in Europe caused by the Krakatoa explosion in Indonesia; I have always said we need to keep an eye on those nasty volcanoes. One volcano can dump more SO2 into the atmosphere than what all of mankind has produced ever since we have been alive. We survived that nuclear winter and things are just fine today. Besides, man must be pretty arrogant to think he has control over this earth; I have always believed the earth was under the control of a Higher Power; man constantly over estimates his influence. Just when man thinks he has everything under control...something unexpected happens! I think God always likes to keep us guessing!
The Global Warming hoax has been discovered and proven false here; maybe other countries have not yet caught up. You never answered my question whether you thought the earth was getting colder or warmer? There exists no evidence the earth is getting warmer.
