When I first arrived, I tried not to talk with two ladies at the same time; just as a matter of courtesy. I soon discovered that was not very practical because we meet so many people very quickly; however, once I have really settled on one person, I try not to confuse the issue by entering more girls into the equation. I certainly do not make new contacts or do searches to discover "something sweeter".       (Please insert my "candy store" analogy here!)

Real world dating can be very complex; even more so here. A man can invest a great amount of time and resources in someone who seems perfect, but suddenly be blind-sided by something totally unforeseen. If someone very nice contacts me while I am talking with another person and she seems very special, I am honest to tell her where I am and pray for the best. You are not betraying any trust by simply being friends. If they are in a hurry and can't wait, then it wasn't meant to be. Best to do the noble thing and see what happens; if things do work out for you, she will respect you more for doing the right thing.

One thing for sure, very easy to think everything is going well with a great girl and suddenly be handed a huge surprise. Maybe you discover she was a former axe murderer and just got out of prison...or you thought you were number #1 and you are number #2...and suddenly you are available again!!! If you are honest, most women seem okay with this. They seem more concerned about finding a believable and trustworthy partner than with a temporary annoyance. Honesty seems to work, Sal.

Emotions are fickle, you can't always trust your feelings, and you can't change the direction of the ship every time you see a new island with a better looking batch of coconuts! (No pun intended!   ) Best to make a decision and stick with it...if it does not work out, there is no shortage of wonderful, beautiful women and we as men are very fortunate to be here...try again...but, always treat the girls well, honor and respect them.
