Hey Scott, the age factor will possibly mean that they will look seriously at the relationship, but they do anyway on a K1. If everything is in place, you've met at least once in her country and have evidence of a relationship, it should not be a problem. Just takes time. As for getting married in Ukraine, you do not need to be a resident. I married a girl from Minsk in her city (divorced now though) and rather normal process. Just be prepared to spend a little more being a foreigner. Some people recommend lawyers, but I have found them to wholly unnecessary. Did a k-1 visa application as well, although we decided not to follow through on it unfortunately. Just follow the instructions and no problems. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
