First of all - Doug? I don't appreciate tone of your latter and they way you trying to point into some thing to me. Who give you that rights? And this post not even for your read. You can post separately about Americans and all what you thing. And I would agree with you with some, or everything. But I would not come to you, telling that you living in deep place, where house hold income is around 27,000 a year, which is twice less that average in PA. And I would not tell you, that you trying to invite Russian ladies to village with population of 9,000 people, to city which was ChinaTown, back to 1870.

Second, just because it seem like you not willing to discover anything, just hear from third party about cost of houses, I would do it for you. Attached to this letter, is house cost below $1m, which I can easily afford. $2-5$ would be more-less problematic.
And I working for Trading Company, with 4 billion in assets under Management, which located in Century City and I decided to live very close to job, rather that farther, but losing time in traffic(http://crabel.com). Plus in good year, we receiving bonuses. Last year with my bones, I would buy two houses like yours in your city.
