Paul , If I may say something to your question.First off , are you really considering , to find a wife/life partner in EE or Russia ? If , yes , then are you interested , in their history , culture and traditions ? When still , YES , do you know and/or understand , what these Slavic women expect from A MAN ? What they expect from THEIR MAN ?? It is already said that the income in EE countries , is not the same as in rich Western countries. So , there is already a certain boundary , to travel and or meet with foreign men , in other countries. You should also understand , that in their tradition , it is the man , who should pay for everything. This will not change , when you two are married !!! EE women , will not like a man who is greedy or doesn`t want to take responsibility. Because in the end , it will ALL COME DOWN TO THIS ! You want to have a family (life) and a relation. Then you should know , what part , you must play to have a succesful and happy relation. If you didn`t read upon their culture and traditions , I strongly advice you to do so ! It may help , to save you , from embarrasing or awkward situations. Wanting to date a Slavic woman is not easy for a foreigner.Unless you understand , what she expects from you. Seing you asking that question here , I am not so sure , if you are ready , to go and date an EE woman. Not until you really know , what to do and how to behave.
