It’s incredibly exciting going to a place solo. I stayed in touch with my wife on my flight from Canada the first time when I landed in Vienna right before I was heading to Dnipro. So I didn’t get to the airport having no idea where to go. It’s too bad the Dnipro airport doesn’t exist anymore. It had this late 70s early 80s vibe to it. Out of all the cities I visited in Ukraine. I have this absolute love for Dnipro. Maybe it’s because I’m sentimental and it’s the first place I met my wife and stayed there for almost 2 months my first visit. I even like it more than Kyiv and Lviv and they both are pretty cool too. Ukraine is such a beautiful country. I liked how you can just be walking through a woods and out in the middle of nowhere there’s a tent setup that serves beer. Every time I visited Ukraine there was just so much to do and see. I think my wife got to Canada in 2018 so it’s been almost 7 years since we been back to Ukraine. Crossing my fingers that the war ends because I miss the place. I see you’ve been to Odessa. What a fun spot to go. Me and my wife were there twice. Arcadia was such a blast. We spent quite a bit of time at Ibiza club. Food and drinks though were pretty expensive there but always worth it. The beaches were really nice as well. Odessa’s nightlife was where it was at but I think I preferred Kyrylivka though. I liked the village setting and was a vertical down to earth resort. But one of the things I really enjoyed about Ukraine was before my wife started staying at my apartment with me. I’d wake up early in the morning before she got to my place I was renting and hit the town and go around. Trying to order a coffee was quite the adventure cause there was the language barrier or ordering breakfast. I soon learned the ropes as my wife did all the ordering because as soon as they hear English. Here’s two menus. The local menu and the tourist menu which is way more costly.
