Alena, was this trip to be your first meeting or have you met already? I apologize if you mentioned this; the translation is not the best.

In my opinion (others will disagree), a serious man will not ask a woman to help pay for a first meeting. If the costs are too high for the man, then it would be in better taste for him to modify or change the trip if possible. For example, instead of going on a 31 day trip, go for 21 days and use the money that would be saved to pay for your necessary documents. I would also suggest meeting in your city or a city nearby for a first visit instead of going to another country. This is safer for you and if the meeting does not go well, you don't have to spend 31 days in a foreign country with someone you do not like. My suggestions are just for a first meeting. If you have already met this man and trust him, then my advice would be different.

Again, talking about "intimate" things without having met and establishing a relationship first is a big red flag in my opinion. I would tell all women to immediately cease communication with a man that discusses such things very early on. It's rude and not something a gentleman or serious man would do. Do not think it's simply cultural differences, it's not.

I know it's very difficult emotionally to start your search all over, especially if you have been communicating for a while, but the actions you have described are not something a "good" man would do. Forget about him and find yourself a good man, a man that wants to know about YOU, not your underwear.
