When I read her comment I was gonna tear her apart but I've been an asshole all week so I bit my tongue lol but well said David. Some of these women who think that type of behaviour and reaction was okay have to realize a simple truth about how men work. Despite best intentions we dont always get gifts right especially early in a relationship. Showing genuine appreciation and gently guiding us towards things that are more your taste will have us continuing to try to make you happy and get you the type of things you ultimately want. Shitting on our effort for being not expensive enough or not name brand makes you come across like ungrateful gold digging trash. The absolute last thing I'd want to do is hurt anybody who cares enough to do something for me. You can have all the expensive things you want but when you value them over real people and real connections, none of those items will hide how low class and unfit to be a partner you are. I'd say I was sorry to be so blunt but I'm not lol
