Maybe it is just good fortune but I am yet to find a scammer that is actually good at it. That's not to say that fake profiles don't attempt contact but it is just so obvious and laughable that I can't believe anyone falls for it. For example I got a message this morning and it went hello handsome mister here is my whatsapp contact me and I will share more of my private picture and her profile was obviously some model...seriously, the level of desperation and stupidity a guy must have to think that could be serious. The next level from there is just marginally better, they'll say my name and not just put a cut and paste message... but by message 2 or 3 they're in love with me and can't imagine a life without me...again a little more common sense would rule out these ones too. At best somebody who falls in love after 2 messages is unstable but more likely disingenuous. I would say that the percentage of scammers out there working the long game who are skilled scammers is probably low but it is a good idea to vet anybody before you invest any serious time into them.
