Tanya, with all due respect, my comment was not written to the women here for their judgment. Be mindful that you are in the forum that is intended for men to discuss issues amongst themselves. My response was an honest and serious assessment of this site to another man who has similar concerns.

But since there is a lot of patronizing among other comments here, I’ll reiterate my point: men pay to communicate here, and men pay to the expenses to travel to meet women. We do not have unlimited time and money to meet everyone who sends a wink on this site, instead we prioritize those who we find interesting. The foreigners I chose to meet were appealing from the first message (even for non-English speakers!), and I didn’t have to wait a week to get a reasonable response from them. It is clear from just a few messages who is serious and suitable, and who is just passive and not putting in any effort. Despite judgments on how we behave, and despite assertions that “real men” should immediately make plans to meet to show that they are serious, men will not spend the resources to meet someone who, based on lacklustre conversations, is not a good prospect. Quite frankly, it’s disrespectful and unreasonable to expect a man to do so. There are simply too many people that match that description, and it’s an exercise in futility to meet someone who doesn’t talk (and not to mention the fact that it is incredibly wasteful). If you do not intend to respect that the way that foreign men approach this problem, maybe online and foreign dating isn’t the solution for you.
