There really isn't much reason to be against the mainstream vaccines. I had some side-effects after my 2nd dose, but it isn't enough to want to avoid it.

In my province, I don't think we have had a fully vaccinated person die - all deaths are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated people. It's still possible for a fully vaccinated person to get the virus, but overall, the symptoms are milder and it's not as serious. An unvaccinated person is also around 8 times more likely to catch the virus than a fully vaccinated person, according to our statistics.

There are conspiracy theories about government control, genetic modification, ineffectiveness, etc. There is no truth to them. The Moderna/Pfizer/AstraZenica vaccines are all remarkably effective and have few side effects- they have been administered for over 6 months, we would know by now if there were serious and common consequences to them. I can't comment on Sputnik, but given the speed of the Sputnik development, it's very possible that Russia used the knowledge of other producers, to make it. The sooner that people get vaccinated, the sooner things will go back to normal.
