I think it is a very good question that you have asked; especially right now.  I cannot answer for all western men and this is not necessarily my point of view however I think I have an idea of what may be happening.

First it is safe to say that it isn't your looks.  Outside of your country the news of that entire portion of the world is not positive.  There are great problems between Russia and the rest of the world right now.  So anywhere in the area of Russia, people who are not familiar with the region I think people are afraid to travel there.  and until the situation is resolved I feel that you may encounter this.

One possibility would be to find a country that you can travel to in order to meet a man where you would both be comfortable.  However if you did this make sure you take a good friend with you.  Just for being safe.  Make sure that you plan on meeting somewhere away from your hotel and you don't tell the man where you are staying.  Simple things like that in order to make sure you are safe.

Don't give up hope.  You are going to find someone who will be after your heart.  To many men will look at your physical beauty first, but will stay with it as they know there is beauty inside of you that matches your external beauty.
