Good afternoon Ian . So... maybe you started the conversation with the standard "hello how are you," and in return you expect that a whole autobiography from a woman will come in response ???) Or you sent a long detailed letter, but you did not contact the addressee by name, which also gives women the right to think that your letter is template and addressed not personally to her, but to a hundred women at the same time... Personally, I did not answer such writers... Very often people are not objective towards each other, but... in return they expect a lot... Think about what I said.
