Oh , yes , I noticed that you could not listen to Western music , if you were behind the Iron Curtain.
On my first ever trip to Poland in summer 1977 , I found out that the radio FM band , had a different frequency range , than what we had here in Europe.
Second thing that I found out was , that the USSR radios , did not have a MW (Medium Wave) radio band.
Here in Europe we had.
What was on the USSR radios was the Short Wave (SW - 2 or 3 bands) and Long Wave (LW) bands.
But if you were hoping to find a radio station with popular Western music , just forget it.
But anyway , I did buy a car radio with SW and LW radio bands.On the LW , you sometimes could hear a monolog or people debating or maybe a radio play.
And that was it ... ((((
So , I brought my home made audio cassette tapes with me , just to have something Western with me.
I understood why the FM band was different and why there was no MW on the local radios.
The teenage children they loved to listen to the pop music and sometimes would copy all the cassette tapes.
In most cases I had almost all the latest pop/disco songs of those days on my audio cassettes.
You may also have guessed , that I am a music lover also.I know and have records of some of the Italian artists.
Of course , I do not know them all , because not all Italian artists had their records being released in The Netherlands.
Zucchero is just a great singer.I love his song - Diamante 1989 (I believe that there are 2 versions of this song , but both were sung by him . He made a re-recording of it some years later , IIRC)- In 1991 Diamante was sung by Randy Crawford & Zucchero.
Then you have Loretta Goggi with her fantastic San Remo song : Maledetta Primavera , what a beautiful song this is.
In 2020 , I made a list of sentimental and romantic lovesongs.
It was a post from me , to a post of another member from this forum.
No , Diamante is not in that list , but Maladetta Primavera is.
I will name one more Italian hit - another unbelievable romantic song :

Собака это всегда хорошо. Но серьезная собака, это еще и большая ответственность. Ротвейлеры замечательная порода, им необходима (ОКД), т.к. у них ярко выраженные врожденные охранные качества. Была знакома с несколькими представителями этой породы, один мог зализать до смерти, другой кроме хозяина не признавал никого.

узнала из вышеприведённого списка только Дзукеро из 80-х. Об остальных даже не слышала. Не сильно интересовалась. А ещё конечно популярен был в свое время Д.Моранди и Э.Рамазотти. Эрос Рамазотти стоит как бы особняком.
Что касается, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Genesis. Всё таки у парней тех лет был отличный вкус. Я иногда могу послушать Генезис.
