Maximum Age Gap

Any advice on maximum age gap between a man and a woman? Some say age is just a number, but I think there should be certain considerations. For example, as a man, if I married a younger woman I would be concerned about dying and leaving her to live left alone. What are your thoughts? Any other considerations? Thanks.
