If you buy a car and drive it from Melbourne to Perth, it is like driving to another country. You will need a new drivers license, new car registration and there is border control! Each state in Australia is like a kingdom. It's quite funny. It's a very different style of living in each state. Sunshine is almost endless in Australia... but that results in bush fires in some dry places. Yet in the winter, the spring flowers can sometimes create a blanket of beauty across the span of a wide desert. Life always surprises you. New Zealand is much more damp and wet. Which is why the nature is very vibrant and green. There are no predators at all in New Zealand and the worst thing that could happen is you spend too much time in the sun and get skin cancer. No animals want to eat you! In Australia, everything wants to eat you! On a walk to the beach, you will see signs that say beware of the Sharks and the Snakes. If you sensible, you will probably never see a snake or a shark. But if you don't follow the rules, you could become lunch for a predator. So it depends, are you quiet natured? Perhaps you will like New Zealand. If you are more social and like variety, then you may prefer Australia.
