Marrying in Ukraine or Russia

I have often thought that if I found the right woman, I might consider moving to her country to support her. In my career, I can work from a laptop anywhere in the world, so long as I have the right to be there in that location. So it's not a problem for me to live in Russia or Ukraine. What I am curious to know, is what is the process of a Western man to marry a Slavic woman and move to his wife's country? Will the laws of Russia and Ukraine allow a foreign man to raise a family with his wife in her country? I also wonder about this, because I get paid in US Dollars and my earnings would go a lot further in Russia or Ukraine than they do in Australia or New Zealand. It's interesting to know. I appreciate any ideas you have. I'm also interested to know what are the good places to live?
