Sorry pal, but your whole line of argument is so full of logical errors that it collapses as you write along.
You ask one question, bring in different concepts and values and then even give it a material aspect.
1) In some relationships, monetary issues matter more (let them, because for them it works!)
2) Other people set different priorities, so let them too.
3) If you say that some relationships fail, because he doesn't love her or vice versa, then that is clearly NOT love, irrespective of giving or taking - that makes your whole post false and hence redundant.
