I'm always suspicious with denunciation of what happens in the neigbour garden . It's generally a cognitive bias to ignore what (relatively) does not work at home. So here in Netherland women are not killed of course, but the only work market they are able to reach is the public service one.and.the retail selling shop. Women in North countries ( NL, DE, SE) are limited to "personnal" services and retail.( of course in very north countries they have been.given a true access to the political scope, but not.more to the economical one, which.seems to.count more ). . In France, Italia and Spain women have more choices , in East they have even more choices (thanks to the communisn history but the competition is far harder ). Let's cleanup our houses before considering the far ones.
